Do you accept commissions?

Yes, I accept a limited number of commissions for paintings on wood panels. Contact me if interested.

18 x 18: $1300 ($300)

20 x 16: $1300 ($300)

24 x 24: $2200 ($700)

30 x 24: $2600 ($700)

30 x 30: $2800 ($700)

40 x 30: $3600 ($900)

36 x 36: $3800 ($900)

48 x 36: $4600 ($1500)

Total prices include a non-refundable deposit (which is shown after the price).

Prices do not include sales tax, shipping, or edits to a completed painting.

I do not accept commissions for work smaller than 20 x 16 inches.

Larger and custom sizes may be available.

How long will it take to complete?

Most of the time it takes 4 to 8 weeks from receipt of your deposit until I'm finished.

What is the commission process?

  1. Reserve a commission and complete an early interest questionnaire here.  You will not pay anything until step 6.

  2. I’ll contact you within a week to schedule a time to talk.

  3. While waiting, please review my website and instagram and save works by name, screenshot, and/or make a pinterest board. Make notes on color, shape, line, and texture.  I only paint in my own style, so please don’t ask me to make art that looks like it is painted by someone else.

  4. Meeting 1: 30 minute zoom, phone, or in person for us to meet, discuss your vision, and develop a timeline.  Send me your ideas and colors by email before our meeting. Color examples can be from my paintings, magazine clippings, house paint samples, your own photographs of nature, etc.

  5. If we both decide we would like to move forward, within a week, I’ll send you a contract with the description, sketch or mockup, price, and timeline.

  6. Submit your non-refundable deposit (prefer Venmo or PayPal). I'll begin painting after I receive the deposit.

  7. I’ll send you images and video of the painting in progress within 3 weeks. I will ask you to complete a feedback form (1).  Once received, I’ll get back to work. 

  8. Meeting 2: 30 minute zoom with the painting. We will complete a feedback form (2) during the meeting. If you request changes, I will make edits and send pictures and video within 3 weeks, or when I consider the painting complete. You will have 2 weeks to review the completed painting and complete a feedback form (3). 

  9. At this point, I hope you’ll agree the painting is complete. If so, I will finish the edges, sign it, wire for hanging, send the final invoice, and prepare for delivery. Once I receive the balance of payment as agreed in the contract, I’ll ship or locally deliver the painting. 

    • After the the third, final, feedback review, any requests for changes will be charged an additional 10% fee.

  10. OK, we did it! Celebrate! Show your friends, share on social media, and enjoy your painting.

How will we communicate?

Email, phone, zoom, and in person are my first choices for communicating during all steps of a commission. We can use text and instagram messages as needed.

What can I expect in the contract?

After our first meeting, and before I collect the non-refundable deposit and begin work, I’ll send a contract with a description of the project, a timeline, and cost breakdown.

Payment

Non refundable deposit due before work begins: about 30% of total 

Final payment due when the painting is complete and before delivery: about 70% of total

I will not ship or deliver the painting until full payment is received.

Accepted forms of payment are Paypal, Venmo, and cash.

Rights

Commissioned art will yours alone. I will never reproduce it as a print or share it with another company. With your permission, I may want to show the work in progress, finished piece, or painting displayed in the owner's home on my website or social media.
